Swords Shopping Centre - emergency fire and general day-to-day ventilation systems

Colt provided pneumatically operated MLS Meteor ventilators along the entire length of the roof. Each of the opening flaps was fitted with toughened and laminated glass and each ventilator has a huge opening area of up to 2.4m x 3.3m.

One of the reasons the Meteor ventilator was chosen was due to the fact that it is available in a wide range of sizes and flap options, and that it could provide a significant noise reduction of 20 dB whilst allowing the entry of natural daylight.
